Second Sunday of Advent

“Lead me in your truth, and teach me,

    for you are the God of my salvation;
    for you I wait all day long.”  Psalm 25:5

sitting in my favorite

chair, waiting for you

to ring the doorbell, i

never see you

planting justice

in broken communities,

harvesting handfuls

of hope for those

whose souls are empty,

gathering the lost,

the lonely, the leftouts

into your embrace
