“they shall beat their swords

           into plowshares, 

    and their spears into into 

          pruning hooks;

nation shall not lift up sword 

          against nation, 

     neither shall they learn war any more” Micah 4:3b 

 may we turn 

our angry rhetoric 

into songs of joy, 

our mean spirits 

into unlimited compassion, 

and our narcissism 

 about our nations 

into gentleness for all people.
