so our eyes look to the LORD our God,

in setting aside
my privilege, may i
become more compassionate
towards those in need.
in choosing vulnerability,
may i discover what
the forgotten have
to teach me about life.
in setting aside whatever
power i have (even though
i may think i have none),
may my weakness be used
to bring justice to the forgotten.
in seeking to become
more of a servant to others,
may i make my life
a daily sacrifice to you
and to all your children.
