“’I was eyes to the blind,
and feet to the lame.
I was a father to the needy,
and I championed the
cause of the stranger.’” Job 29:15-16
if we truly want
to go back to some
golden era of
life,
let it be to those
days
when compassion
was
chosen over
cruelty,
when love was
spoken
more often than
hate,
when generosity
was
not a dirty word,
when the lonely
and forsaken
knew they could
come
to us and find
wide open
hearts
and arms
