“Should you not know justice?—” Micah 3:1c 

 with teachers like Harriet, 

Frederick, and Sojourner, 

with mentors such as 

Rosa, Martin, Cesar, Russell, 

with martyrs like Emmett, 

George, and Breonna, 

surely we should know justice 

but too often, 

we act 

as if we slept 

through those classes
