when i wander intothe shadowed alleys
hoping for a quick fix
for my addiction to fear,
your love comes trotting
behind me, pulling on
my pants leg until i
look down to notice
and
then it leads me back
toward the lighted entrance
where you are waiting
to take me to that rehab
center known as your
heart.
