holding tight to the wheel
as we drive through that
dodgy neighborhood, we
give ourselves the perfect excuse
not to hold out help to others.
knowing more than you
could ever imagine, we
keep swatting your hands
away as we run through
the fields of foolishness,
until we reach the edge
of the cliff of nothingness,
where we find your grace
reaching out to us, so we
can grab hold and find
our way back to you.
