“Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God.’” Mark 11:22

sometimes,
faith is floating down
a gentle river, our hands
trailing through the cool
waters of life.
sometimes,
faith is those slow, cautious
steps on an icy walk,
worried that a slip might come
at any moment, and we might
not make it to the safety of home.
sometimes,
faith is plodding along
as we carry our weary hearts
hoping for that whisper of grace.
at all times,
faith is simply the willingness
to lean into that love
which never leaves our side.
