Christmas Day

In this is love,  1 John 4:10a

in
the server who
   sits down and
   listens to the
         tear-filled widower;
the non-believer
   who takes the
   shift at hospital;
the teenagers
   who hand out
             gifts and food
   to the folk
   living out of
         shopping carts,
this is love.
