Second Friday of Advent

Ask a sign of the LORD your God: let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.  Isaiah 7:11

may we see
         you
   in the depths
   of the grief
      of one
   on the untimely
         death
   of their love,
as well as
in the hand
of a toddler
      reaching up
for her father
in a crowded
   store.
