Second Tuesday of Advent

Be alert at all times,  Luke 21:36a

if we blink,
we might miss
         joy
   racing around like
   a dog in the snow;
         peace
   kneading us like
   a contented kitten;
         grace
   teaching little kids
   carols from other lands;
         hope
   shoveling fears off
our souls' sidewalks.
