we can moan and groan
wondering where you are
in the messiness of the world,
our God,
or we can pay attention
and see you
in the school-skipping
15-year-old sharing
toys and candy with kids
at the border to safety,
in the grain bin company
sending its workers to
transport refugees to
another country,
in all the different guises
of helpers who you
willingly take on
