but

You are a hiding place for
          me;
    you preserve me from
          trouble;
    you surround me with glad
          cries of deliverance. Selah

it's all about
grace:

God offers new life
to each, but
we prefer to imagine
ourselves
sterile;

God would lead us
to green pastures
and still waters, but
we find our journey
with bitterness
and death
to be the better way;

God prepares a table
which groans with goodness
and mercy, but
we gorge ourselves on
the empty calories from
the husks of sin;

it's all about
grace
and grace
is all around us,
