passion/palm sunday

“Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;

    today I declare that I will restore to you double.” Zechariah 9:12

though

thrown into isolation

and convinced the key

has been thrown away,

yet we will hope;

quarantined from the rest

of those who put their

trust in compassion and kindness,

goodness and mercy,

yet we will hope;

slowly stepping out

to follow you on that

dusty road which leads

to only you know where,

yet

we

will

hope
