this day,
let
us reach out
to
the elderly
whose
slow steps
make
them targets
in
crosswalks;
to
the little kids
knocked
over by bullies
every
morning;
to
teenagers
whose
fears hide
in
their wardrobes;
to
the lonely, the forgotten,
the
refugees, the rough sleepers;
on
this day,
and
every day,
let
us reach out.
