First Sunday of Advent

“Turn to me and be gracious to

         me,

   for I am lonely and afflicted.” Psalm 25:16

in this season

of parties, families,

gifting, and joy,

may we be companions

for those walking

the paths of loneliness;

may we be comforters

who cradle the

   brokenness

around us.
