Third Sunday of Advent

“Lead me in your truth, and

         teach me,

   for you are the God of my

         salvation,

   for you I wait all day long.”  Psalm 25:5

the waiting

would be easier,

if you came as

an IM, a tweet,

or an emoji/GIF

response to a post, but

you come in the

silence at the end

of a long day,

in the warm hand

of a little child

on a winter morning,

in the lengthy letter

from an old friend.
