when
we breathe in the
acrid smoke,
fill up sandbags
to
edge our homes,
respond to appeals
to help victims of
earthquakes and
hurricanes,
remind us
that now, earth is
our ark, and
we need to stop
saying,
“no, ah, there is
no such
thing as climate
change”
