had been there a long time, he said to him, ‘Do you want to be made
well?’” John 5:6
but,
if we say yes, how
will we ever manage
without
the delicious bitterness
on our tongues
destroying the taste buds
of grace and hope,
the weight of the
decades-old grudges
slowly crushing our souls,
the unbridled anger
curdling our hearts?
