“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,

    and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,

this year,

let us give our voices

to those who are never heard,

rather that acting like

we know everything;

this year,

let us not give

a pittance of our peace,

a sliver of our grace,

a morsel of our mercy,

a candle of compassion

(for fear we will go empty), but

not grow weary in sharing

everything we have, as

we discover you are

constantly stocking the shelves

of our hearts and souls
