blessings

blessed are

those who fill our emptiness with God's hope;
those who mingle our tears with theirs;
those who care as much for creation                                                                                            as they do for themselves;
those who offer the hungry and thirsty
more than empty promises and emptier pockets;
those who wrap others with the shawl of mercy;
those who see God, not in narcissists and celebrities,
but in all the broken, the imperfect, the vulnerable;
those children who are playmates with peace;
those immigrants who bring the Beloved Community to us.
