Geez-o-Pete, Lord!sometimes the stuff
that comes out of
the mouths of folks
in the Bible just knock
me over backwards.
i have no doubt that
you are faithful in every
moment, but a lot of times
the folks you are hoping
will help others through
the tough times only seem
to offer platitudes rather
than a hand to hold on to,
a harbor in the storm,
a shoulder to cry on,
a broom and dustpan
to help pick up the pieces
of shattered hopes.
