with hope,
we can get up
and face the day.
by hope,
we can begin
to see the good
in those with whom
we have differences.
for hope,
we can set aside
all our privileges so
others might have
what they are missing.
in hope,
we can dare to imagine
the Beloved Community
actually in our midst if
we but open our eyes,
our hearts, our souls.
