tip-toeing into our hearts,
your eyes widen at the
top-of-the-line safe
hiding all our treasures
so the end times
(with a capital E)
will not get them;
then smiling, you
pull out the combination
figured out by the Spirit,
and opening the door,
stuff all our fears, worries,
and worse imaginations
into your pockets, whistling
as you go to waken us
to the new life you offer
