more now than ever
(perhaps),
may we be patient:
our love weathering
the swirling storms
of bitterness,
our faith refusing
to resign us to despair,
our caring for others
withstanding the cruel
attacks of the powerful
who would snatch everything
from those who barely
have anything to their names
