may . . .

"For God alone my soul waits in silence; 

    from him comes my salvation.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,

may the waiting 

not become so onerous

we simply give up.

may the silence 

allow us to hear the

gentle rhythm of love.

may the rock 

be wide enough

for more than just one.

may our fort be made

out of pillows and blankets

so no one feels threatened.

may we feel your arms

wrap tight around us

when we tremble with fear,

and may we realize 

that your salvation means

we are never left on our own.
