find as much wonder in
the stuff they find in the dirt,
as a dog does when digging
up the bone it had forgotten.
may the meteorologists
discover the laughter in clouds
that little kids lying on their
backs and staring at the sky do.
may the theologians realize
hope is as near as the sunbeam
creeping across their paper strewn
desk as the kitten does trying
to catch it on the kitchen floor.
