word crumbs

we spend so much time

talking the walk, yet

keep our wallets hidden away,

offering a rigid back to others,

hurling invective at those we can’t stand,

choosing to do wrong every chance we get,

and so miss the word crumbs

you have left on the path

which would lead us to grace
