"The LORD went in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day, to lead them along the way, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light, so that they might travel by day and by night." Exodus 13:21

you keep a light 

on in the hallway

so we won't stub 

our toes coming 

in after curfew,

you turn on your

mobile's flashlight so

they can see you

sitting in the corner

when little kids wake

up afraid in the dark,

you brighten our days

with the sun and then

eclipse it with the moon

so we can marvel at

the wonders of your

imagination.
