we have made the

quick trip to the DIY store

to get the new hinges

for the doors, the varnish

for the shutters which

were damaged, and replacing

the smoke alarms which 

never stopped chirping after

that wild and wooly day

at the church yesterday,

and so

we never see the little kids

hoping someone might

notice their bikes needing

new brakes and tires, or

the paint starting to peel

from the side of the house

of the lady down the street

whose husband died just

a few months ago, or the

food pantry which is hoping

folks might make more donations

so they can meet the overwhelming

need in the community.
