when God could
have chosen to use
a giant parade balloon,
a text with letters
in 72 point font,
a supernova which
exploded eons ago
whose light is just reaching us,
to remind us that
we are the Beloved,
we are graced,
we are forgiven,
we are wrapped in arms
which will never let go,
God
chose to become
weak
foolish
broken
dead
for us
and that’s all
God needed to do.
