First Tuesday in Lent

"Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?" 1 Corinthians 1:20

if we pay attention,

we may learn more

about the wonders of

creation from the kids

making mud pies than

the greatest scientist,

we may discover joy

from the mime on the corner

than the foulest-mouthed

comedian at a club,

we may be blessed with

the wisdom we need in

the stumbling words of 

an aging neighbor than

from the most charismatic

politician.
