hanging with the crowd
we have always wanted
to be a part of, as they plan
some sort of foolishness,
may we hear that parent
who always reminded us,
'remember who you are.'
as we sit with our finger
poised over the 'send' button
for that oh-so-delicious snark
rejoinder which will put those
folks in their rightful place,
may the echo of the phrase
'do unto others' resound in us.
struggling to b faithful in times
filled with so much bitterness
may we always seek to be
the ones filled to overflowing
with grace, hope, peace, and love.
